Geodesic frames are very strong. The configuration on this geodesic dome allows it to hold 300 lbs or more. It is lightweight, constructed from high grade 1" aircraft alloy, can be set up in about 4 to 5 hours by two people and has a very high wind resistance. Combined with a good quality tarp or cover, this frame will provide years of long term shelter use. This frame has a weight of 225 lbs. Options XL1 Cover - Specially treated and reinforced polymer cover with UV Inhibitors. Thermal Stabilized, Water Proof, Clip Clamps and Door Kit. Hothouse Cover - This cover is made to turn your geodesic frame into a hothouse where food can be grown during cold months.
