We have tested a few candle solutions in our day, and we still can't find a better long burning candle lantern that this one.  The candle is loaded into the base of the lantern where a simple but effective spring keeps it pressed up against the top of the bullet shaped candle guide.  The lantern comes with a handle and chain which allows you to hang it just about anywhere you can find a hook or support.  The handle also makes it easy to carry.  The glass lantern lens,  and chimney, which make a very effective wind block, recess into the base of the lantern when not in use, making the lantern fit in a space just a bit over 4" x 2".
