Berkey Light Filter System The Berkey Light is made of a shatter resistant, high impact strength non BPA copolyester materials. The system comes complete with two purification elements, a base, and utilizes the latest technological advances. It's upper chamber contains 2 Black Berkey purification elements which filter 4 gallons of water per hour into the 2.75 gallon reservoir. The Berkey Light is capable of producing 30 gallons of water per day.
The 2 filter elements have micro-pores so small that harmful pathogenic bacteria cannot pass through them (such as E-coli, Cholera Salmonella Typhi, Giardia and Cryptosporidium). The filters also remove and reduce unwanted chemicals such as Chlorine, lead, rust, sediment, pesticides, herbicides, organic solvents, VOC’s, SOC’s, Trihalomethanes, and foul tastes and odors.
Made of Lexan, the same material used to make bullet-proof glass
